Soo Yeon Cho,

A native of Korea,
Soo Yeon Cho has been performing
actively in both solo and chamber
music world wide. Ms. Cho was a
honorary graduate from the Peabody
Conservatory. During her years at
Peabody, She was the winner of many
competitions and given opportunities
to perform at various venues at the
institution and other venues in the
Washington D.C region. Recently, she
won the Concerto Competition and
performed Beehoven Piano Concerto
No. 3, celebrating the grand opening
of the Miriam A. Friedberg Concert
Hall. Upon her graduation with many
scholarships and prizes, she was the
fourth prize winner in the Missouri
Southern International Piano
Competition and first prize winner
in the two-piano ensemble category
in the New York Piano Competition.
This year, she won 3rd prize in
Kingsville Young Performers
Competition in Texas. Ms. Cho has a
wide range of violin-piano
repertoire and performs with
numerous well-known violinists in
the US.
Ms. Cho has
participated in the Aspen Music
Festival and Banff Piano Masterclass,
where she studied with Yoheved
Kaplinsky, Ann Schien, Marc Durand,
Julian Martin, and Angela Chang.
After finishing her
Bachelor of Arts, she's completed
her Masters degree at The Juilliard
School under the direction of Robert
McDonald.
