Ms. Stefanie Izzo is
a New York native soprano who has
performed throughout the New York
metro area, as well as in Europe.
She most recently appeared as Pamina
in Die
Zauberflöte at
Queens College. Other local credits
include: Candide (Cunegonde)
at QC, The
Marriage of Figaro (Susanna)
and Hansel
& Gretel (Dew
Fairy) with the Brooklyn Repertory
Opera, Britten's A
Midsummer Night's Dream (Peaseblossom)
with Dell'Arte Opera Ensemble, Sweeney
Todd (Johanna), HMS
Pinafore(Josephine) with the
Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera
Company of Long Island, The
Magic Flute (Pamina),
Ravel's L'Enfant
et les Sortileges (La
Princesse), and Dido
and Aeneas (Belinda)
at NYU.
An avid linguist, she has studied
languages and performed in Italy,
Germany and Austria, and was chosen
as the first-ever recipient of the
National Italian American
Foundation’s Andrea Bocelli Music
Scholarship in 2003. Ms. Izzo holds
a BM in Vocal Performance from New
York University, and is currently a
Masters student at the Aaron Copland
School of Music at Queens College in
the studio of Sherry Overholt.
